The Open Source of Hovering Ideas

India of My Dream

I dreamt of a Proud India
Peace helps in making
strong people and Nation,
which is the result of
India’s left long patience.
India stands for its
value and wealth.
Its culture, religion and people
are its strength.
Varied Cultural and Multi Linguisms
Inter Woven so well,
that truly denotes
the warmth of India as well.
Secularism a lesson of peace,
India has learnt
That Communalism, Casteism
and Fundamentalism should totally be burnt.

I dreamt of an Inspiring India
where The Golden Paths of
Mahatma Gandhi’s Motives,
Raja Ram Mohan Roy’s Reforms,
Swami Vivekananda’s Ideals,
Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s Sacrifice,
Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s Bravery
won’t ever be rejected.
And even, Today’s
Kishore Da’s Songs,
Lata Mangeshkar’s Voice,
Kapil Dev’s Victories,
Sachin Tendulkar’s Glories,
Abdul Kalam’s Mind,
Bharat Kumar’s Pride,
A.R. Rahman’s Musical Fusion,
Anna Hazare’s Revolution
would also be added.

I dreamt of a Peaceful India
where national Integration has
led to Unity in Diversity,
and its Rich Heritage has
led to its popularity.
Holi, Diwali and Christmas
are celebrated together,
and Sacrifice and Patriotism
for the country has led to
Faith in each other.

I dreamt of an United India
where People born and grow up
with Vivid Imaginations,
Taking Ideals from many
as their source of Inspiration.
Creating Peace all the time,
Holding each others’ hand,
Banishing Discrimination,
Maintaining Co-operation,
Killing every aspect of
Terrorism, Rivalry
and The Deadly Corruption,
Giving proudly to India
The True Democratic Definition
of an Independent Nation.

I dreamt of an Incredible India
where we abide by tolerance,
to make India a land of
Endurance and Forbearance.
We need to show the World
what really is Independence.
Keep on Fighting
for Peace and Dignity,
Keep on Running
for Success and Victory
until the end.
Even if you’re scared to
bring this BIG CHANGE in your life,
May be you don’t have any clue,
But Don’t be afraid of nothing,
Just keep counting on everybody
to make this little dream come true.

!! Jai Hind !!

  5. A sense a patriot, a passionate and undaunted pride of who you are. But a well constructed piece fusing practicality of past and present. A must read for the forgotten souls..!!

  10. I am extremely proud of you for focusing your writing upon your country and the wonderful precepts introduced by its philosophers, teachers, musicians, leaders, etc., that have influenced its rich heritage. It is very important for each of us to be proud frogs in our ponds realizing that it is not only the water which surrounds us that we should measure but the depth of our souls. May you be blessed in all that you say and do.

  19. I love A.R. Rahman. I know India could become an example to the world. Your long history and great diversity could teach us how to form the concept of a global society, one where we learn to not only tolerate difference but celebrate it. Well said!

    August 27, 2011 at 10:14

    • It’s Glad to see that some People from outside really appreciate on our Uniqueness.
But hardly we Indians forget to give its True Values a little respect for a while. :SAD but TRUE (

      August 27, 2011 at 10:20

      • Not only in India, here in Indonesia, many young people forget their own roots and act like citizens from another planet, dreams to be celebrity in one-night, and forget to dig their REAL talent in order to give positive spirit and action to their country. (sorry for complaining here. 😉 )

Anyway, I like how you created the poem. You cover important aspects of your country and your hopes for a better India, thus divided into five distinctive (but related to each other) so we, the readers, can fully grasps the development that you’ve wanted.

        Happy rally!!

  24. Since we have accepted the basic norms of freedom,we have got our basic morality right. In practice we have to struggle and get complete and real freedom. However, this ideal freedom isn’t possible without some kind of economic justice in the society. Moreover,it a shame that everyone wants to change the nation, yet none want to change themselves. We must be the change we want to see in other!!!! JAIHIND.
