Heyy Guys !!
I’m back again with my artwork. I wanna tell y’all something. Few days ago, I’ve seen a music video called “In My City“ by model-turn-actress-turn-singer Priyanka Chopra featuring Black Eyed Peas‘ singer Will.i.Am. In my opinion, the music is really terrible just because it is modern commercial sellout, that same old shitty work with autotune vocals and party beats. Moreover, its music video is even more terrible, with worst choreography and background scene. The annoying part of this video is that she bragged a lot of things about her partying life in her city (which was supposed to be her home town – Bareilly or working town- Mumbai, but the whole video shoot happened to appear somewhere in Los Angeles). Facepalm.
Just like Ashley Tisdale, she is also nice actress (won’t say the best actress ever :P), but not really a good singer. Moreover, she sold herself out with this annoying song without even showing her real roots. But hardly this commercial Entertainment Industry and the butthurt Priyanka Chopra Fan base (I prefer calling such people as Fantards 😛) gonna understand the fact.
The main agenda of above mentioned story is to show how people get away from their roots and pretend to be someone else, just to impress the modern crowd. I could go on more with other examples, but would tell that some other day.
Anyways coming back to my art topic. After getting pissed with that annoying and delusional music video, I’ve checked down my art archives searching relevant to my roots in my city – Delhi.
Well !! The artwork which I’m going to showcase, I’ve made quite a year while practicing for my very 1st Graffiti Battle in Hip-Hop Jam. I’ve made the cartoon sketches of various attractions of Delhi – Red Fort, Lots Temple, Jantar Mantar, Qutab Minar, India Gate and Delhi Metro, in the background and a graffiti guy (actually me :P) spraying a Graffiti art “Delhi” on the wall, in the foreground with the help blue ball-point pen.
Now since y’all know about my passion and obsession with Graffiti and my residence in Delhi.
So then fellas, take a look on the artwork.
Well !! This is my City and these are my roots. I love keeping them real, unlike pretending like any crazy Bollywood Actress posing to be a professional singer.
ROOTS !! BLOODY ROOTS !!
Hopefully, y’all have like this piece of work and don’t forget to post you reviews.
This Blog Post was Posted as ” Died Too Soon “ in The Y! Music Playlist Blog
Tragic deaths happen every day, but when someone famous dies it sends reverberations throughout the culture. In a small way, the shock of a celebrity death is good, because it makes us reflect on our mortality. Hopefully, this reflection wakes us up to the reality of how short life really is, and in turn, helps us to slow down, enjoy life and make the right decisions.
Musicians have a reputation for living on the edge, and many have paid the ultimate price.
For this playlist I have selected my top picks for musicians who died too soon. Specifically, before the age of thirty. As I looked through this completed list what amazed me most was not the tragedy of a life cut short, but the accomplishments achieved by those so young.
1. Robert Johnson
Cross Road Blues – Robert Johnson
May 8, 1911 – August 16, 1938
The legendary tap root of popular music, Robert Johnson, died at a cross roads near Greenwood, Mississippi. It is rumoured that he was poisoned by a jealous boyfriend or husband of a woman whom he had become involved with.
2. Eddie Cochran
Summertime Blues – Eddie Cochran
October 3, 1938 – April 17, 1960
Eddie Cochran was touring overseas when he got into a taxi at Chippenham, Wiltshire, England. Unfortunately, his driver was reckless and crashed into a lamp post killing Eddie after he was thrown from the vehicle. The cab driver went to jail for 6 months and lost his license for 15 years.
3. Buddy Holly
That’ll Be The Day – Buddy Holly
September 7, 1936 – February 3, 1959
Charles Hardin Holley, better known as “Buddy Holly” was killed in what is arguably the most famous musical tragedy in history when the Beechcraft Bonanza aircraft he was travelling in crashed. The accident was immortalized by Don McLean in the song “American Pie”.
4. Ritchie Valens
La Bamba – Ritchie Valens
May 13, 1941 – February 3, 1959
Ritchies Valens is the forefather of Chicano rock and had an extremely bright future ahead of him. Unfortunately, he was on the same plane that Buddy Holly was on “the day the music died”. Also of note that day is the death of J.P. “The Big Bopper” Richardson” (Age: 28) who was also on the plane and known for his hit song “Chantilly Lace”.
5. Jimi Hendrix
Castles Made Of Sand – Jimi Hendrix
November 27, 1942 – September 18, 1970
There is some mystery around Jimi Hendrix’s death in London. He was found dead by his girlfriend when she awoke, and the official reports show that he drown in his own vomit consisting mostly of red wine. It is also said that he had taken nine of his girlfriend’s prescription sleeping pills, which may have led to his inability to awaken and save himself.
6. Kurt Cobain (Nirvana)
Heart-Shaped Box – Nirvana
February 20, 1967 – April 5, 1994
On March 30, 1994 Kurt Cobain arrived at a detox center in L.A., inspired by the urging of his family and friends. However, the very next day he jumped the fence and returned to Seattle. Less than two weeks later he would be found dead of a shotgun wound to the head. A suicide note was found by his body.
7. Ronnie Van Zant (Age: 29) (Lynyrd Skynyrd)
Steve Gaines (Age: 28) (Lynyrd Skynyrd)
Cassie Gaines (Age:29) (Lynyrd Skynyrd)
Gimme Three Steps – Lynyrd Skynyrd
After the tragic airplane accident that took the lives of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper, I would have to say that the next most tragic music related airplane crash would be the one that took the lives of three members of Lynyrd Skynyrd on October 20, 1977.
8. Otis Redding
(Sittin’ On) The Dock Of The Bay – Otis Redding
September 9, 1941 – December 10, 1967
Otis Redding was taken from us by yet another tragic airplane crash. His Beechcraft 18 airplane crashed into Lake Manona in Wisconsin on December 10, 1967. Authorities were never able to determine the cause of the crash.
9. Randy Rhodes (Ozzy Osbourne)
Crazy Train – Ozzy Osbourne
December 6, 1956 – March 19, 1982
Ozzy Osbourne’s legendary and extremely talented guitarist was also taken from us in a plane crash. But this time the cause of the crash was pure stupidity. The pilot (Andrew Aycock) who had promised a safe flight (as Randy was afraid of flying) thought it would be a great idea to “buzz” the tour bus and wake the rest of the band. On the fourth attempt a wing clipped the bus and crashed killing all onboard the plane instantly. No drugs were found in Randy’s body, but the pilot tested positive for cocaine.
10. Brian Jones (The Rolling Stones)
Paint It, Black – The Rolling Stones
February 28, 1942 – July 3, 1969
Brian Jones was found on the bottom of the pool at his East Sussex, England home by his girlfriend Anna Wohlin. The coroner reported that his heart and liver were enlarged due to drug and alcohol abuse and listed his official cause of death as “death by misadventure”.
11. Tim Buckley
Wings – Tim Buckley
February 14, 1947 – June 29, 1975
Drugs and alcohol are one of the biggest killers of musicians and Tim Buckley is one of the great talents who succumbed to them. The official cause of death is listed as “acute heroin/morphine and ethanol intoxication due to inhalation and ingestion of overdose”. Tim’s son, Jeff Buckley, was a superb talent in his own right and met an untimely death by drowning. Jeff did not make this list because he was able to reach the age of 30.
12. Chris Bell (Big Star)
September Gurls – Big Star
January 12, 1951 – December 27, 1978
Chris Bell was driving his Triumph TR-6 home from his family’s restaurant in Memphis where he worked when he lost control and slammed into a light pole. He was killed instantly.
13. D. Boon (Minutemen)
This Ain’t No Picnic – Minutemen
April 1, 1958 – December 22, 1985
D. Boon had been sick with fever, so he was lying down in the back of his van while his girlfriend drove on route I-10 close to the California border. She ran off the road, Boon was thrown from the vehicle and was killed. Bandmate and bassist Mike Watt would go on to dedicate every post-Minuteman album he’s created to the memory of D. Boon.
14. Cliff Burton (Metallica)
Creeping Death – Metallica
February 10, 1962 – September 27, 1986
Cliff Burton was asleep and riding on the tour bus with the rest of his bandmates through Sweden on a European leg of the Damage Inc.tour when the bus ran off the road and flipped. Burton was killed when he was thrown out of a window and pinned under the bus.
Rock Da Boat – Aaliyah
January 16, 1979 – August 25, 2001
The young and talented Aaliyah is yet another musician killed in a plane crash. The investigation showed that the crash, which happened shortly after takeoff in the Bahamas, was due to the plane being loaded past its weight limit and an inexperienced pilot who was not licensed for the aircraft. An autopsy also showed that the pilot had cocaine and alcohol in his system.
16. Janis Joplin
Piece Of My Heart – Janis Joplin
January 19, 1943 – October 4, 1970
Janis Joplin looked older than her young 27 years. This was no doubt due to her hard-living rock and roll lifestyle, which included large amounts of drugs and alcohol. It caught up with her in early October, 1970. The official cause of death is listed as an overdose of heroin.
17. Jim Morrison (The Doors)
The End – The Doors
December 8, 1943 – July 3, 1971
Jim Morrison died in his Paris apartment. No autopsy was performed since under French law it’s not required if the medical examiner finds no evidence of foul play. The most widely held theory is that Morrison snorted a bunch of his girlfriend’s heroin thinking it was cocaine and overdosed.
18. Bradley Nowell (Sublime)
Santeria – Sublime
February 22, 1968 – May 25, 1996
Brad Nowell had everything to live for. A new wife and child, and a major label record deal. Just weeks before the band was to embark on a European tour in support of their major label debut, bandmate and drummer Bud Gaugh awoke to find Nowell dead of a drug overdose.
19. Hillel Slovak (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
Freaky Styley – Red Hot Chili Peppers
April 13, 1962–June 25, 1988
Hillel Slovak was born in Haifa, Israel to Jewish parents who were survivors of the Holocaust. After moving to the states, Hillel blossomed into a pioneering guitarist and unfortunately, a heroin addict who tried, but failed to kick the habit. He died of a speedball overdose.
20. Chuck Wagon (The Dickies)
Eep Opp Ork (Uh, Uh) – The Dickies
Born Bob Davis, Chuck Wagon was a member of the punk rock band The Dickies. He fought drug problems, but it was a broken heart after a break up with his girlfriend that led him to commit suicide with a bullet to the head.
21. Shannon Hoon (Blind Melon)
No Rain – Blind Melon
September 26, 1967 – October 21, 1995
Shannon Hoon found fame in 1992 with the huge single “No Rain”. He was a drug addict well-know for bizarre behavior. In 1995, Shannon welcomed a baby girl named Nico Blue with his longtime girlfriend. This event prompted him to make an effort to get clean and he entered drug rehab. However, his effort to quit drugs failed and he overdosed on a speedball while on tour.
22. Gram Parsons
Love Hurts – Gram Parsons
November 5, 1946 – September 19, 1973
Gram Parsons was a key figure in the birth of the country rock and alt-country genres. He had a great love for the Joshua Tree National Monument and this is where he overdosed on a combination of morphine and alcohol. His wish was to have his ashes spread in Joshua Tree and when his stepfather planned a private burial in New Orleans his road manager and a friend stole his body and tried to do a cremation in the desert with gasoline.
23. Hank Williams
There’s A Tear In My Beer – Hank Williams
September 17, 1923 – January 1, 1953
Hank Williams is a genuine country music legend. Sadly, before leaving Knoxville for Canton, Ohio in a chauffeured Cadillac, Hank injected himself with morphine and vitamin B12. He never made it to the show in Canton. His driver found him dead when he pulled over in Oak Hill, West Virginia.
24. Ian Curtis (Joy Division)
Love Will Tear Us Apart – Joy Division
July 15, 1956 – May 18, 1980
Ian Curtis was an artist and a tourtured soul. His marriage was ending after an affair, and his health was challenged due to epilepsy. In the early morning of May 18, 1980 Ian watched the Werner Herzog’s film Stroszek, listened to the Iggy Pop album The Idiot, and then hanged himself in his kitchen.
25. Nick Drake
Pink Moon – Nick Drake
June 19, 1948 – November 25, 1974
Nick Drake did not know fame during his lifetime. Unfortunately, his music was only really discovered on a large scale well after his death in 1974. He lived on a $20 per week record company retainer and suffered from depression. Nick died young after he overdosed on the antidepressant amitriptyline. Some think it was suicide, others think it was accidental.
26. Pete Ham (Badfinger)
Day After Day – Badfinger
April 27, 1947 – April 24, 1975
Peter Ham hung himself in his garage while extremely drunk. He was not seeing any money from his work with Badfinger. His suicide note directed hatred at his business manager who had a reputation for corruption. Pete left behind a pregnant girlfriend.
27. Alan Wilson (Canned Heat)
Going Up The Country – Canned Heat
July 4, 1943 – September 3, 1970
Alan Wilson had reportedly tried to commit suicide twice before his death. He died in Topanga Canyon, California of a drug overdose, and although some suspect suicide, there was no suicide note and his death was not ruled as such.
28. Sid Vicious (The Sex Pistols)
Pretty Vacant – The Sex Pistols
May 10, 1957 – February 2, 1979
Sid Vicious was not really an accomplished musician, and not really an accomplished person for that matter. But he is one of the most iconic punk rock celebrities in history. He was accused and arrested for the murder of his girlfriend Nancy Spungen. Shortly afterward, he attempted suicide and was admitted to Bellevue Hospital. Sid got clean in jail, but after being released on bond he overdosed on heroin that was purchased by his mother.
29. Darby Crash (The Germs)
Manimal – The Germs
September 26, 1958– December 7, 1980
Darby Crash killed himself in a suicide pact with his friend Casey Cola, who survived. He died of an heroin overdose, and many believe he was driven by a quest to immortalize his name. As he lay dying, Darby tried to scrawl the words “Here Lies Darby Crash” on the wall, but was unable to finish. Unfortunately, Darby’s death was largely overshadowed at the time by the murder of John Lennon, which happened the very next day.
30. Duane Allman (The Allman Brothers Band)
Whipping Post – The Allman Brothers Band
November 20, 1946 – October 29, 1971
While in Macon, Ga on a break from touring Duane Allman was on his motorcycle when a truck stopped in an intersection. Duane could not stop in time and suffered severe injuries that led to his death several hours later. His bandmate, bassist Berry Oakley (Age: 24) died in a similar motorcycle accident with a bus just 13 months later and just three blocks away. The bandmates are buried next to each other.
31. The Notorious B.I.G.
Hypnotize – The Notorious B.I.G.
May 21, 1972 – March 9, 1997
The Notorious B.I.G. was heavily involved with the East Coast-West Coast hip-hop feud of the 1990s. The New York rapper was in L.A. shooting a music video to support the release of the best-selling double album Life After Death when he was gunned down in a drive-by shooting. The murder has not been solved although there are plenty of theories to choose from.
32. Tupac Shakur
California Love – 2Pac
June 16, 1971 – September 13, 1996
After attending the Mike Tyson / Bruce Seldon boxing match at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Tupac Shakur and his entourage got into an altercation with a known member of the Crips gang. Later that night, as he rode with Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight, a car pulled up next to them and fired about a dozen rounds. Tupac was hit four times and although there was hope he could survive the gunshot wounds (as he had previously) he died a few days later.
May they all rest in peace and thanks for the music.

Another Demise of a Brit Talent – Amy Winehouse, died Today at the age of 27. Though she became Controversial in Paparazzi, but she was DAMN talented singer. Her powerful deep contralto vocals reminds that ole school Real Jazz Music. As a matter of fact, I could say proudly, unquestionably, undoubtedly and 100% Surely that She was One of the Best Female Singers ever heard of all Time.
Tragically but Magically, She eventually joins the famous “27 Club”. The 27 Club, also occasionally known as the Forever 27 Club, Club 27 or the Curse of 27, is the title for an epitomic group of influential musicians who all died at the age of 27. They are generally considered to have led a “rock and roll” lifestyle.
The original “27 club” was Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison, who died within 2 years of each other in 1969-1971. To these is usually added Kurt Cobain (1994). Many other notable people, some well-known, others less so, also died at the age of 27. I have omitted some other musicians and actors (who would otherwise dominate the list) to make a broader and (hopefully) more interesting list. The “biographies” are necessarily short and cannot go into the speculations and conspiracy theories that have arisen around some of the deaths. Plus, Their deaths during this ripe age are either known or shrouded in mystery.
Robert Leroy Johnson (8 May 1911 – 16 August 1938). American singer and guitarist.
Drank whiskey laced with strychnine at a country crossroads near Greenwood, Mississippi. The details are unknown, and there are a number of accounts and theories. Researcher Mack McCormick claims to have interviewed Johnson’s alleged poisoner in the 1970s, and obtained an implicit admission of guilt. When Johnson was offered an open bottle of whiskey, his friend and fellow blues legend Sonny Boy Williamson knocked it out of his hand, and told him that he should never drink from an open bottle. Johnson allegedly said, “Don’t ever knock a bottle out of my hand”. Soon after, he was offered another open bottle and accepted it. That bottle was laced with strychnine. Johnson is reported to have started to feel ill throughout the evening and had to be helped back to his room in the early morning hours. Over the next three days, his condition steadily worsened and witnesses reported that he died in a convulsive state of severe pain—symptoms which are consistent with strychnine poisoning. Strychnine was readily available at the time as it was a common pesticide and, although it is very bitter-tasting and extremely toxic, a small quantity dissolved in a harsh-tasting solution such as whiskey could possibly have gone unnoticed but still produced the symptoms and eventual death that Johnson experienced.
Drowned in a swimming pool. The coroner’s report stated “death by misadventure.” He was a Rolling Stones founder and guitarist/multi-instrumentalist…His age was 27 years & 125 days old and he died on July 3, 1969.
Brian Jones was the founder of a little known band named The Rolling Stones. While on the phone to secure a gig with a venue owner, Brian came up with the name “Rollin(g) Stones” by reading it off an album that was laying around. Their music consisted mostly of R&B covers and it wasn’t until Andrew Loog Oldham joined that they began shifting their focus to newer, more original material. This transition reduced Jones’ role in the band which was further accelerated with his drug habit and alcohol abuse. He became alienated from The Rolling Stones and eventually, he was no longer a member of the band he helped form. One month later, he was found face down in his swimming pool.
Autopsy showed he asphyxiated on vomit after combining sleeping pills with wine. He was a Pioneering electric guitarist, singer and songwriter for The Jimi Hendrix Experience and Band of Gypsys. His age was 27 years & 295 days old and he died on September 18, 1970.
There was nothing about Jimi Hendrix that didn’t stick out; from his flamboyant outfits, to his left-handed guitar, or his use of amp overdrive. After being turned down by The Rolling Stones, Jimi was introduced to Chas Chandler via Keith Richard’s girlfriend. They went on to form The Jimi Hendrix Experience a rock band that would revolutionize the genre forever. In 1969, he headlined the biggest music festival of all time, Woodstock. One year later, Jimi Hendrix was found dead after overdosing on pills and drowning in his own vomit (asphyxiation).
She died of a probable heroin overdose..She was a lead vocalist and songwriter for Big Brother and the Holding Company, The Kozmic Blues Band and Full Tilt Boogie Band. Her age was 27 years & 258 days old and she died on October 4, 1970.
Janis’ big break came in 1966 when she became the lead vocalist of the psychedelic hippie rock band, Big Brother and The Holding Company. She was renowned for her strong powerful vocals during a male-dominated rock era. Janis Joplin performed at Woodstock after having several shots of heroin and being highly inebriated. In 1970, she flew to Brazil where she cleaned up her act and remained sober for a while. She would later return to the US where her drug habits would resurface and ultimately, get the better of her as she died from an apparent heroin overdose in October 1970.
His cause of death listed as “heart failure”; however, no autopsy was ever performed. He was the lead singer, songwriter and video director for The Doors.. His age was 27 years & 207 days old and he died on July 3, 1971.
Jim Morrison was a poet, a writer, a filmmaker, and of course, the lead singer for the rock band, The Doors. Controversy surrounded The Doos when they were asked to perform on the Ed Sullivan show. Fearing that the lyric “Girl We Couldn’t Get Much Higher” was too risqué for television, Ed Sullivan requested that the band modify the sentence to be more TV friendly to which they agreed. When they played, Jim proceeded with original wording which infuriated Ed Sullivan. The Doors had great success in the late 60s but Jim Morrison started to get out of control. He was constantly drugged or drunk and would oftentimes show up late for live performances. In 1971, he moved to Paris and a few months later, Jim Morrison was found dead in his apartment. The circumstances surrounding his death are still unclear as an autopsy was never performed.
He was the founding member, lead singer, guitarist and songwriter for Nirvana. His age was 27 years & 44 days old and he committed suicide on April 5, 1994.
In an era where rock music was all about long hair and leather jackets, Kurt Cobain sported short hair and wore flannel clothing. Nirvana became an overnight success when they took Michael Jackson off the number one slot in the Billboard music charts with their smash hit, Smells Like Teen Spirit. Grunge music would go on to flood the radio airwaves throughout the early nineties. In 1992, Cobain wed the equally unorthodox Courtney Love with whom they had daughter Frances Bean Cobain. In 1993, Nirvana, known for their grungy loud music, were approached by MTV and asked to perform a quieter, more intimate acoustic set. Kurt Cobain’s emotional performance in Where Did You Sleep Last Night still sends chills down our spines.
Her cause of death has yet to be determined. She was a multiple award-winning English singer-songwriter.. She was 27 years & 312 days old and she died on July 23, 2011.
Ironically, Amy Winehouse owed much of her popularity to her song Rehab which contained the lyric “They tried to make me go to rehab but I said ‘no, no, no.’” After struggling with drug addiction, Amy Winehouse finally went against those same words and checked into rehab in 2011. After a short stay, the singer checked herself out of rehab and began a new European tour. She was booed off stage after showing up at her first gig intoxicated and unable to remember the lyrics to her famous songs. Her tour was cancelled following the incident to give her more time to recover. She was found dead in her London home a few weeks later.

Apart from the above mentioned famous musicians, there are some other famous personalities from various fields who died on the same age. However, they are not counted among The Club 27.
Lea De Mae
Andrea Absolonová (aka Lea De Mae and other pseudonyms) (26 December 1976 – 9 December 2004). Czech athlete, model and pornographic actress.
Died from glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. Absolonová was a member of the Czech diving team and injured her spine in an accident while training for the 1996 Olympics. She partially recovered and qualified for the 2000 Olympics, but persistent problems forced her to retire. She was later persuaded by a photographer to pose nude and eventually to participate in the adult film industry. She appeared in over 80 adult films. She was diagnosed with glioblastoma in July 2004. During her battle for life, fans from around the world and fellow porn actors supported a medical fund that had been set up for her in Prague, but she died 17 days short of her 28th birthday.
Rupert Chawner Brooke (3 August 1887 – 23 April 1915). English poet, known for his idealistic war sonnets written during the First World War.
Died of sepsis from an infected mosquito bite on a British navy ship off Lemnos in the Aegean Sea, en route to Gallipoli, Turkey. As the expeditionary force had orders to depart immediately, he was buried the same night on Skyros. His most famous line of poetry, perhaps fittingly, is: “If I should die, think only this of me: / That there’s some corner of a foreign field / That is for ever England.” (Australian and New Zealand readers will understand the significance of the date and his destination.)
Jean-Michel Basquiat (22 December 1960 – 12 August 1988). American artist.
Died of mixed-drug toxicity (he had been combining cocaine and heroin, known as “speedballing”) in his Manhattan loft/studio. In 1982, Basquiat became friends with pop artist Andy Warhol and the two made a number of collaborative works. They also painted together, influencing each others’ work. By 1984, many of Basquiat’s friends were concerned about his excessive drug use and increasingly erratic behavior, including signs of paranoia. Warhol died in 1987 and Basquiat the following year. (In the 1996 film Basquiat, Warhol was played by David Bowie (see no 15).)
Patrick Daniel Tillman (6 November 1976 – 22 April 2004). American football player and soldier.
Killed by “friendly fire” in Afghanistan. In May 2002 Tillman turned down a contract offer of $3.6 million over three years from his team and enlisted in the US Army. He served in Iraq and Afghanistan, despite holding views critical of the Iraq war. On 22 April 2004 he was killed, along with an Afghan militiaman, in a “friendly fire” incident while on patrol. The specific details of his death and its aftermath are currently being investigated by the US Congress. The Army initially claimed that Tillman and his unit were attacked in an apparent ambush. After a lengthy investigation, the US Department of Defense concluded that the deaths were due to friendly fire aggravated by the intensity of the firefight. A more thorough investigation concluded that no hostile forces were involved in the firefight and that two allied groups fired on each other in confusion after a nearby explosive device was detonated. Claims, counter-claims, accusations (including that he was deliberately targeted (ie murdered)) and investigations continue.

Apropos of nothing, can I unsubscribe to Taylor Swift? Is that possible? I’d really like it to be possible.
I don’t quite know how I ended up with all this Taylor Swift in my life. FACT: Eighty-five percent of all advertisements and magazine covers are now mandated by law to feature Taylor Swift, or at least some portion of her hair crimping. Anytime there’s an award show or special live presentation or a Kia dealership grand opening, you can pretty much count on Swift showing up with her guitar and undermining the days and days of effort that Autotune put into creating one of her albums. Fuck, even Collinsworth spent last week’s Sunday Night game gushing about her. I can’t get away from this bitch. I even know she dates Jake Gyllenhaal. AND OMG BEEFY NECK GUY FROM TWILIGHT TOTALLY BROKE HER HEART!
I don’t understand all the fuss. Taylor Swift makes training bra music. Her shit is one step removed from a Fisher Price Little People CD. Every record she sells should come with a complimentary pack of Spree. If you’re over fourteen, you shouldn’t want anything to do with it. But no, every fucking adult music critic on Earth fawns over this girl and protects her like she’s some kind of goddamn forest pixie. SHE’S SO MATURE FOR AGE! SHE HANDLED THAT KANYE SITUATION SO WELL! SHE’S SO ARTICULATE! No, seriously. Someone wrote that.
Swift’s thoughtful honesty and surprisingly articulate take on life should be commended.
What is this, a fucking report card? HOORAY! SHE’S ALMOST 21 AND HAS THE ABILITY TO SPEAK! And since when is this chick honest? Have you heard some of these lyrics?
But she wears short skirts, I wear t-shirts
She’s cheer captain and I’m on the bleachers
Dreaming bout the day when you wake up and find
That what you’re lookin for has been here the whole time
First of all, is there anything honest about that? This woman is a fucking ROCK STAR and a millionaire. She’s, like, ninety stages above the cheer captain. Cheer captains are fucking special ed students compared to her. And she never wears fucking t-shirts. She wears $10,000 Halston gowns and all kinds of other sparkly shit. Some producer in Nashville probably made her write this so that fat Jenny in the seventh grade out there would have music that “speaks to her”. And there’s nothing mature about this shit. It’s the soundtrack to a trip to Spencer Gifts. Anyone could write that. I could write that.
It’s late at night and he’s sendin’ you a text
But you just bought your first box of Kotex
He doesn’t know you’re a bloody mess
But if he saw your crotch, he could probably guess…
It’s not that hard, okay? This fucking Kanye thing has made everyone treat Swift like she’s some precious doll they bought at the Franklin Mint. Meanwhile, Justin Bieber and his fans get made fun of (rightfully so) by fucking EVERYONE. And Bieber actually IS a kid! He’s not even voting age, the way this woman is. But somehow you’re an asshole if you hate Taylor Swift? That’s bullshit. BULLSHIT. Just because she’s the official spank bank material for every white asshole on the Texas Rangers roster doesn’t mean I have to give a crap.
People, I am here to grant you permission to hate Taylor Swift at will. You can go right ahead and laugh at her horrible singing and hope she ends up blowing local Tennessee DJs in lieu of record company payola handouts. Go ahead. Don’t feel bad. She’s a big girl. She can handle it. She’ll probably even be able to make a really shitty album out of it.
