Hey Guys !! I’m back again with some Technical Stuff once again.
Well Just few days back, I was in search for a place where i could get proper techniques of C/C++ Programming under Linux Platforms using GCC. Actually, I’ve mostly used Windows in my Life and as a matter of fact, I’ve used either Turbo C++ or Dev C++ under Windows Platforms. I even didn’t required anything else so far. But since my MAD Professor insisted us to practice C++ in Linux, my search for E-books, Documents and Softwares beings, for understanding C/C++ in Linux using GCC/G++ compiler, begins.
It took me a while to figure out that Linux is in fact the best Operating System or OS, for typical Non-Gamers unlike me. 😛 And whenever I DO login Windows, even by mistake, I am greeted by a slew of viruses and a painfully slow speed. Anyways, I figured I should do even my C programming on Linux. It was there in my coursework from college you know!
There are two ways in which you can program in C in Linux:
1) Use an IDE (Integrated Development Environment) like Netbeans or Codeblocks.
2) Use the inbuilt GCC compiler, like I did.
GCC basically stands for GNU C Compiler. Its not actually an IDE, but it kinda works when you get used to it. Plus, its easier to setup. Many people (including me) were in a total state of confusion at first, but hey, turns out its pretty simple!
Let me illustrate the steps you need to take to compile and build a program on a Linux machine.
1) Type out your code in a text file (on gedit) and give it a “.c” extension. It actually works. Atleast in Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick, your pre-processor code will have a different colour than the rest, and so on, like a normal IDE.
2) Go to Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal. Use the command “cd” to navigate to the directory where your “.c” file is stored. Eg: If your file is stored in “Documents” under the root folder, the type “cd Documents” in the terminal.
3) If your filename is say, “code.c”, then type “gcc code.c -o code”. This compiles and builds your required file.
4) Type “./code” to run your program. And Its all done !!
And of course, if u need to use C++, just replace “gcc” by “g++”. And save the file as “.cpp”. The rest is all basically the same. Even sometimes, It can happen that GCC may not be installed in your OS. Not a problem. It will automatically prompt you to install it in a couple of simple steps, which require you just pressing “y/n”.
At the end of the day, Linux programming may not give you a very distinct advantage, but hey, its different! Its a skill that you’ll need to learn eventually maybe and since I got to know how to get with it easily, so why not learn it now? 😉
Hello Guys !!
I’m back this time with some Technical Stuff.
Well as y’all know, Blogging is the one of the simplest way which can help you make good money online. As we all believe that Internet is a small universe of information and we often get paid to dig this universe. So lets start building your small world in it and name it as blogging to explore new information and get paid for our unique ideas through unique content.
We have attached a very good blogging file that will help you understand the concept of blogging and make money with it. And eventually, creating such Blogs, not only your earning Money, you are also giving some of your unique ideas and thoughts (whether in form of Art, Photography, Literature, Technical or any kind of interesting field.) to the concerned readers.
Once you understand the blogging concept then you are all set to start your blog and make money by becoming a Google Adsense Publisher. You can also become a publisher for Amazon to start selling their product and earn commission from them. But for all these things you first need to emphasis on Blogging and Promoting your Blog online. For that, you could refer to Famous Blogs, take some ideas from there about Site Promotion and Money Making.
Besides, I’ve something as a Gift for y’all. 😉
Recently, I’ve just read a E-book of ” 101 Ways To Becoming a Better Blogger “ by ” Ellie Harrison “. It is really interesting and i enjoyed a lot while reading this whole book. It’s just 43 page PDF file (about 607 KB size). It contains all the necessary and indeed worth helpful Blogging Tips, starting from the scratch, from Site Promoting to Money Making.
Well, It took me a whole day to read as I’m already a Blogger and know somewhat its Tricks and Trades. But still, got something NEW to learn more about Blogging, which I would follow in future. For dummies, It would take hardly a week I suppose. So, Let’s Get it Started.
You can DOWNLOAD this PDF of this E-Book.
Keep Blogging Fellows !!! 8)
Hello Bloggers !! 8)
I’m back again in the my Technical Yard section. I am about tell y’all something really cool and fascinating Stuff which is an awesome Widget for any Blog. Well this one, not only Blogger, but also other people would like it as well. I’m simply talking about a customized Music I-Pod Playlist, which runs on a GUI Music Player created by Mixpod.com, which simply plays Music of your selected Songs in a Playlist. It’s a very Cool Stuff to add in your Blog as many people like to have such thing in a blog these days. So just try it once for sure.
Not only for Blogs Like- WordPress and Blogspot, Add a Mixpod to any webpage and make people to listen to your Music Playlist. Every time someone visits your blog, He/She will be able to hear the Music of your selected Playlist on your very own Mixpod. Ohh !! That sounds really Cool huh !! 8)
It’s very very simple to add to your Blog.
First of all, visit the Official Mixpod Website, where you’ve to Create an account by Signing up at there. It’s just simple, like you create an account in Facebook. Just fill up the necessary details and then, You’re done !!
After making an account on there, It’s time to Create a New Playlist by clicking the required Tab for that. Here you’ve to first, choose a Skin which you would like to have in your Music Player. There are plenty of options to choose any one of them. Some of them like- Mixpod, MixTape, Old School,Ninja, Jeroen V2 etc. are typically MP3 Players only. Whereas, some other players like – Sidekick, MyPod Touch, Minipod, MyPod Nano etc. are MP3 and Music Video Players as well.
Out of them, My personal favorite is ‘ MyPod Touch ‘, because of its very cool look. 😉 8)
Anyways, after selecting Player Skin, it’s time to Create a Playlist of your favorite songs. Well, this job is very very easy as Mixpod gives you a place to search your favorite song and then add it to your Playlist. You could even change the order of the Songs, by dragging any particular song to the desired position. Otherwise, there is an option to Sort the songs in either Ascending or Descending order. You could even change your Player’s skin as well as Mixpod gives an option to select a Skin, if you are not satisfied with the Previous Skin.
After Creating your Music Playlist of your Music Player, Save the Playlist, by giving a Name(required) and description (optional) to it. Also, select some other options to describe the Genre and Category of your Playlist. You could even give some Tags to it as well. Now, your Playlist is defined as well.
You can now Save it, when you’re all done with the required formalities, and collect the HTML code for your playlist, which you could even Post on your Blog. However, You would be asked to Share/Post this Playlist in Website. Then, Go to Other Sites Tab, Click on ‘More‘ and then, on ‘WordPress‘ button. It would ask for your WordPress Username, its Password and Blog’s URL. Fill those spaces and Post it. But, it would automatically make it as a Post in Blog. 😛
For inserting it as a Widget on your WordPress Blog.
Copy the HTML Code from the Blog Post . Then Go to Dashboard -> Appearance -> Widgets. Drag the HTML Text Tab on your sidebar Menu. Paste the HTML Code, add a suitable Heading (your wish) and Save/Activate it.
Finally, you’ve inserted it in your Blog. It plays automatically whenever any visitor comes to your Blog. You and other visitors would get to see the Mixpod Player playing all your favorite songs added in your Playlist, all exclusive in your Blog. Honestly speaking, I have used it long time ago and even used it for a very long time as well. But all those Fun has ended now, as I’m done with it and removed that thing. 😛
But It’s not BAD thing to have it. You could atleast try at once.
!! Just make one and Have Fun !!
Guess What Folks !!!
Finally, My very 1st Game Program in C/C++ called “ The Rattle Snake Game ”, on which I’ve already told y’all about in my previous post, has been completed. It took me about 2 Weeks, let say 14 Days, for making it happen.
From since Day One till the End, I was constantly thinking and working upon through this Day-Night, using the concepts related to this game like- Designing The Intro and The Outro, Animating Snake Motion, Updating Score Board and Calling Other Menus and Sub-Menus. For this, I’ve used most possible Proper and Logical Algorithms in order to implement such concepts. I’ve also simple Graphics, which is basically has C Header file “GRAPHICS.H”, through which I had done the animation part easily by calling its concerned functions. Now, that’s kinda fascinating for the Gamers. Moreover, I’ve made my Game Program Well Coded, Nicely Indented and Minimal Memory Space as possible. Even I’ve divided it into various Modules (Functions), so that my other fellow Programmers could easily find it readable enough and understand the logics which I had used so far.
I won’t gonna tell you how to play it as it’s very simple Game which you might have played during your Kindergarten days. Instead I would like to throw some light on this Game in certain small Snippets.
This is the Intro of this Game, where you could see a border made with Snake’s body, alongwith the Title Name of the Game, the Programmer’s Name. (Off-course It’s me :P) and also a Blinking Message at the bottom asking for pressing any Key.
The Game Intro
As you can see now, it immediately asks to Enter your Name after pressing any Key. When you’re done with entering your name, simply press Enter key to move further. But Remember, You could use less than 10 characters only. Otherwise, you would be asked again and again for entering your name under 10 characters, alongwith an Error message.
Entering your Name
Now, you would love to see the following thing because it’s the Main layout view of the Game. I’ve made a Sidebar at the right. It consists of an Instruction Menu (with the commands and keys for playing the Game) , a Scorecard (which keeps on updating whenever the Snake eats the Egg) and a Blank Space left for displaying Messages. You can move the Snake by the arrow movements.
For pausing the Game Press ‘Enter’ key and for Exiting the Game Press ‘0’ key.
Game Begins and Snake Approaching Towards the Egg
Well, When the Snake has eaten the Egg, the score gets updated which was higher than the initial High Score (Zero). The High Score would now get updated with a Navy Blue Text Background. However, its length would increase after consuming 2 Eggs.
Snake has eaten the Egg
When you’ve reached any Level, i.e. eaten the numbers of eggs so far to reach the next level, You would be getting a Level bonus on clearing the previous Round. Your speed gets more increased after Crossing any Level.
As obvious, there are two ways of getting the Snake Out, i.e. biting either the walls or itself. For that a message would gets displayed with a message “Ouch !!” followed by “Gameover”.
Snake hitting the walls
Snake hitting itself
If you Quit yourself by pressing ‘0’ key manually, you’ll kicked out of the game and similarly a message would gets displayed with a message now calling “Exit !!” followed by “Gameover”.
Exiting The Game Manually
Whenever your Game gets Over, by either the above ways, you would further be asked for Continue again. Press ‘y’ for Yes or ‘n’ for No. If ‘Yes’, the new message “Loading” would be displayed. Within few seconds, a New Game would be uploaded on a Fresh screen resetting all the Scores and Levels to its initial value except the High Score.
Continuing the Game
Fresh New Game after Continuation
However, On pressing for ‘No’, the new message “Exiting” would be displayed. After that a fresh screen appears with similar Design like the Intro had and also an Outro message, thanking you for playing my game.
Not Continuing the Game / Exiting
The Game Outro
Post your Feedbacks for this very Simple Game, with Simple Graphics and Concepts by your very Simple Blogger, Ash Bee. 8)
PS:- Don’t criticize me for making such a simple game. It’s my very 1st step in Game Programming and Animation. I would definitely go further on this thing since I’ve already laid some interest over it. Hopefully, I would increase my Level to make some Brilliant Games on upcoming days.
If you want to grow your blog, then it’s critical that you take time to promote it. Unfortunately, the old theory, “if you build it, they will come,” doesn’t apply to blogs. With over one hundred million blogs being tracked by blog search engines such as Technorati
, publishing compelling content isn’t enough to drive awareness and traffic for your blog. Instead, you need to invest in some old-fashioned sweat equity to give your blog a traffic boost. The 10 free blog promotion tips below will help you get started.
1. Comment On Other’s Posts
An easy way to give your blog a promotional boost is by commenting on other blogs
. Each time you comment, enter the same name and URL
in the corresponding fields in the blog comment form. Doing so will help your search engine optimization
efforts over time. When you leave relevant, interesting and useful comments on other blogs (particularly those that are related to your own blog’s topic), people will notice and follow the link back to your blog to learn more about you and read more of what you have to say.
2. Post Frequently
can boost your search engine traffic. Each new post acts as a new entry point for search engines to find your blogs. Writing with search engine optimization in mind can also boost the potential each of your posts has to lead traffic to your blog.
3. Participate in Online Forums
Join forums related to your blog topic and become an active, contributing member. Include a link to your blog in your forum signature, so it’s always available to other members.
4. Use Social Media
Leverage the promotional opportunities that the social web
provides. Join social networking
sites like Facebook and LinkedIn and include links to your blogs and recent posts in your profiles. Join social bookmarking
sites like Digg
and submit great content (not just your own). Additionally, consider jumping on the microblogging bandwagon and join Twitter
. All of these efforts will increase awareness of your blog and give it added exposure.
5. Link to Other Blogs in Your Own Posts
Try to include links to other blogs in your own blog posts. Refer to other blogs you enjoy reading or specific posts you found particularly interesting. When those other blogs have the trackback
feature turned on in their blogging software
programs, you’ll automatically get a link back to your own blog in the comment section of those posts. At the very least, the other blogger will see the incoming links from your blog in their blog statistic
reports, putting you and your blog on his or her radar, and that means more exposure for you.
6. Include Your Blog Link
Basically, include your blog URL everywhere you can. Your email signature and business cards are two of the most obvious places to promote your blog with a link or printed URL, but don’t be afraid to think out of the box. Promotion is key to success when it comes to blogging. Don’t be shy about tooting your own horn!
7. Hold a Blog Contest
are a great way to attract new visitors to your blog. The most important thing to remember when using a blog contest as a promotional tool is to get the word out about the contest by announcing it on contest websites
8. Join a Blog Carnival
are an easy way to get links to your blog in front of a lot of people. The more closely related to your blog topic that the carnival is, the more traffic you’ll get from it.
9. Guest Blog
Offer your services as a guest blogger
for other blogs in your niche, particularly ones that get more traffic than yours does. Guest blogging is a great way to get links to your blog and your own thoughts and writing in front of people who are likely to be interested in learning more about you and your blog.
10. Write Multiple Sites and Link Them Together
The more blogs or websites that you write, the more interlinking is possible. That interlinking can be used to promote your blog through different channels that might attract different audiences. Create an integrated blog marketing plan by aligning your promotion efforts across your various blogs and websites to reap the biggest rewards.
Well Guys !!
After studying and practicing more like HELL in Programming for years, I’ve finally came to one of its very cool and fascinating application : Gaming, on which I’ve made – A Rattle Snake Game in C/C++ Programming Language.
It’s a very Simple and Common Game, not that complicated and even not that challenging. However, It’s a great step to Get Started with Game Programming in C/C++. I’ve made this Game using logically sound Algorithms, Concepts on Arrays, Structures and Loops, and also DOS Graphics. However, It requires some nice Skills and more Practice to Built and Run such a program.
I’ve just done the Gaming Part, where you’ll get to see the whole body of the Snake (including its Head and Tail as well :P) moving accordingly to Player’s Key Movements. The Snake’s body gets increasing after consuming the Food/Egg on its way, which is quite animative. As obvious, the Game gets Over, when the Snake structs the Walls or even its own body foolishly :P. Moreover, I’ve designed an Instructions Menu for getting an Help in moving the Snake and a Scorecard which would keep an updated score during the Game, which hopefully would be an attractive and helpful thing to get notice upon. 8)
I would upload all its screenshots probably on my upcoming Post.
So far, I’ve laid emphasis on the Gaming Part, which has been completed and running successfully. But, Certain Animations are still required to make Game Intro, Menus and Outro are yet to be done. So, There’s an unfinished job for completing it in a whole. Hopefully, I’ll be able to complete’em just before my College Holidays.
As a matter of fact, many Elite Programmers have made so even more better than me, on various Programming Languages like – JAVA, PASCAL, C#,FORTRAN, PIKE, PHP etc. alongwith some Modern Graphic Techniques like API, OpenGL etc., which are quite more compatible to Run successfully on my Platform as compared to mine.
But the purpose of making this Game, is simply understanding all the concepts which I’ve leaned so far and exploring furthermore in the filed of Game Programming.
Soon, I’m gonna upload the Full Game, when I’m done with its Finishing Work. Hopefully, It comes soon ASAP. 😉
P.S. :- It’s very very easy to play Game in your PCs and Laptops. But it’s F*cking too Hard to make such Games through Programming Languages.
I’ve just browsed through Internet for downloading E-books for my IT Programming course. And finally, I’ve got to see this Website Site. It’s a very good to site to get E-books, not only Programming, but also on other topics Like- Literature, Humor, Tutorials etc. etc. In short, It’s a place where you could find E-books on various topics by many renowned authors and publishers.
Recently I began to buy eBooks for the Kindle application on my iPad. While I still love paper books, the digital wiles of eBooks are looking increasingly attractive to me. Below are five eBook features that may tempt you to buy electronic books too.
I should note that I wasn’t a hold-out on eBooks for moral reasons. I simply couldn’t access them until recently. Amazon’s Kindle, Sony’s Reader and Barnes & Noble’s Nook have all been either unavailable to people outside the US, or the eBook stores to populate them have been inaccessible. However with the Kindle for iPad, I’ve finally been able to enjoy the forbidden fruit of eBooks.
Moreover, You’ve got certain reasons to prefer E-books better than normal Paper Books. Here they are as follows :-
1. Social Highlighting
I must add that one thing I miss about paper books is the personal touch, for example receiving a book from a friend with their marked up highlights. By contrast, there’s something a bit impersonal about electronic highlighting. But perhaps eBooks will evolve to enable more personal sharing of highlights, perhaps even mimicing your hand writing style.Being able to highlight quotes and passages and easily find them again is a key feature that eBooks have over paper books. This activity can also be social – Audrey Watters pointed me to an Amazon Kindle page featuring the most highlighted passages of all time.
The ability to create and then easily display archived notes is a big plus for eBooks. Instead of scribbling in small writing in the margins of a paper book, you can type a clear note in your eReader.
3. Look-up of words
I recently bought a few books of poetry in the Kindle Store. Readers of poetry will know that modern poets like to use big and esoteric words. So one feature I have really enjoyed over the past week is tapping a word and having the definition displayed below. Very helpful and something that made me thankful I had the eBook version of the poetry.
4. Ability to Tweet & Facebook quotes
@Tooq commented via Twitter that he/she likes the ability to tweet or send to Facebook quotes from books, on the Kindle. This feature was introduced to Amazon Kindle 2.5 at the end of April.
You can search for topics or keywords inside your eBook, or out on the Web. Similar to the word look-up feature, this is something that augments the reading experience.
Most of these features are just the tip of the iceberg of what eBooks are capable of. As ReadWriteWeb’s Curt Hopkins opined yesterday, “the e-book format has inherent multimedia possibilities: trailers, background and reference materials, interviews, actors reciting the poems the book contains.”
Those multimedia features probably need to come from publishers, rather than eReader manufacturers.
In the meantime, let us know in the comments what your current favorite eBook features are. Or are you still a paper book hold-out?
I must recommend to you to JOIN this one for sure. Though You’ve to fetch some MONEY initially for that cause it’s not for FREE 😛 Still, It’s cool.
!! Have a Try !!
