Trip to the Mall.. Are you serious?

A lot of things have changed as soon as I’ve graduated and started working a full-time job. But since I’ve already explained in my previous post, so let’s cut to the chase. Whether it’s professional or personal, Life is stressful and you need to take a break sometimes.

And how about going to the mall for a while?

I know most of you people will say this idea something ridiculous and gonna suggest rather go somewhere outside the city, maybe even outside the country. I don’t mind. But to be honest, It’s still fine with me to go somewhere near and do something rather than doing absolutely nothing. And besides, I’ve having fun anyway. Isn’t that having enough purpose to travel and enjoy life? 😀

But that’s not the topic I wanna discuss here and go further on a debate about traveling places. Instead, I’ll be sharing a story here and my experience in visiting malls, which explains why I sometimes prefer to go to the mall whether I’ve a movie/hangout plans or not.

Most of you know that I love art. I often keep doing some artistic and creative stuffs. That’s explains much about my twitter handle. Right? 😛 However, I’ve been obsessed with mall art for a long time. It has its own charm, especially during special occasions. Apart from taking some pictures (maybe few selfies), I’ll mostly stand there for minutes gazing the pattern and detailing of the work. Even I might take some time for thinking about my own interpretation. I know it seems weird and it’s OK. But it is inspiring me to do some other things that I love. Hopefully, I’ll make an alternate career from it someday. 😉

Here are some pictures I took so far.

And you can see further more in my Instagram account.

And here a bit of story for those who already got bored. I once went with my sister to the mall nearby few weeks ago. She took me to this Forever 21 store for her shopping, which I think most girls and women do have some kinda obsession (Not judging anybody here). But for a guy like me, It is bit stressful while helping her out and sharing my opinion on what suits her best (And now, anybody don’t judge me here too). Sometimes I might try to check something at the men’s section for myself meanwhile. But damn sure, my shopping will be over in 5-10 minutes. Meanwhile she’ll make me to wait for over half an hour and I always in search for some time-pass.

And outta nowhere, I noticed this mannequin somewhere near denim section. I suddenly reached to my smartphone, opened my favorite sketching app and started doing what I always like to do.

mall art

Close enough, huh? 😉 My sister was impressed with this artwork once she was done with her shopping. She eventually credited herself for bringing the creative side of mine.

I guess I should stop by to other Fashion stores often.

But with my sketching pens and painting brush next time. 😛

P.S. And for your fun pleasure, Here’s something my colleague has to share. Enjoy. 😛

My Brand New Addiction

It’s been almost a month since I’ve blogged last time about my ending college days and shared my artwork about the life of an engineering guy. Well, College days are gone and its Office days has just started. New Life, New Stories and some kind of New Adventures. Besides, I’ve got a new Addiction apart from my hovering obsessions with Art, Programming, Heavy Metal Music, Action Movies, Computer Games and my other cynosure since childhood.

Well since I’m now a Software Engineer at Healthkart.com, there is lot of techie stuffs going through my head like – Learning many scripting and web-designing languages, Designing Algorithms, Getting familiar with new IDEs and most importantly, Understanding the working of an E-Commerce Company.  Being a fresher, there is so much to learn in so lesser time. But still, I am getting with it.

As a matter of fact, I’ve got a stress buster – A Cup of Coffee, which has eventually became my Brand New Addiction these days. I’ve even sketched this little addiction on a tissue paper. First of all, I had to use pencil to test the softness of the tissue. Then, I outlined it with blue ballpoint pen even with more precaution. It seemed like I was involved in some kinda Testing and Debugging thing. 😛

However after few hours of hard work, dedication and a lot of patience, here’s the final look.

So therefore, this is my new life equation

Coding + Coffee + Confusion = My New Corporate Life

Plus, it has been an amazing monthly experience so far in my office. I’ll tell you the complete story some another day. Also, There are plenty of artworks made during my college days, which have not been posted here yet. I will post them as soon as possible. So Fellas !! Stay Connected. Stay Updated.

Hopefully, y’all have like this piece of work and don’t forget to post you reviews.

The Rocking Poster

Heyy Guys !!

This Week our College is celebrating The Annual Inter-College Cultural Festival called “Moksha” with Bollywood Theme, dedicating a tribute to 100 Years of Indian Cinema.

While taking a look on archives of my college memories  I discovered some pics of my poster artworks when I was working as a member in the Fine Arts Department during this particular Fest 2 years back. I was working under the guidance of Shivang Gupta and Arshia Gupta, who were really amazing in Fine Arts especially in Painting. Since they know about my passion for Rock Music and Graffiti Artwork during participation in the previous fest, I was therefore assigned to create a poster for the Rock Night Event called “Avalanche”.

Regarding this theme, I came up with my own idea and started drawing a Rough Pencil Sketch on A4 Sheet before making the Big Artwork. I ‘ve made an Electric Guitar at the center having a White Angel and Dark Bat wings on either sides, depicting the both sides (Good Heaven and Evil Hell) of Rock Music. I’ve also made two Large Speakers behind that guitar, setting them on fire and two Rocking Fists on the edges. It tool me about an hour to thin and draw the rough sketch. Now I show this sketch to my senior mentors, they really found really nice and creative (though they laughed a little at first which made me nervous).

And then, I started to make it on a full size Cartidge Sheet. Now I had to sketch my whole idea even more detailed. Plus, I also had to write the name of that event in some Calligraphy (appearing to be some what heavy) at the bottom of my artwork.

After 4 hours of hard work and dedication, the Final picture came like the way I expected.

Rocking Poster for College Fest

Rocking Poster for College Fest

Well that was one of my best moments when I contributed something for my College during this fest. I enjoyed my time in Fine Arts Work with some nice inspiring seniors, who became my good friends soon. But there are some of my batchmates who taunted me, “Tu Fine Arts Hi Karr” (“You could only do Fine Arts”). But I didn’t bother about the comments from those creepy losers as I am not impressing them for their pleasure sake. Plus, Haters could only be just jealous and talk shit. In the end, I had some fun those days and will be having so in the future.

Project Ultraviolet – Coming Soon

Heyy guys !!

I’m a great fan of ❤ Milla Jovovich <3. She rocks in every Resident Evil movie. She is indeed one of the best actress in sci-fiction action and thriller movies.

Apart from the Resident Evil series and many action movie of hers, there is another movie which took my breath away. It is Ultravioletreleased in 2006, just because of her bold kickass look which she’s already known for action movies. Though this movie was a big disaster, but still I saw this three times just to watch her only. 😛

Looking to this amazing poster, I am thinking about to make an artwork.  😉

Ultraviolet Film

But not now, as I am busy already in making and posting The Big 4 of Thrash Metal Artwork throughout this December. I’ll promise to bring that thing for y’all sooner in the next year.

Meanwhile, take a look on the artwork, made by an anonymous artist.

Plus, I’ve included my Graffiti Calligraphy Touch along with my ole school exclusive Signature Tag on the top right and latest one on the bottom left. Anyways, Take a look into my dedicated piece of work.

2 Years ago, We’ve lost Paul Gray, #2 from Slipknot, yet another Amazing Bass Guitarist of this Modern Era. Today is his 40th B’day. May his Rocking Soul rest in peace. \m/ 😦 \m/

Dedicating to this inspiring person on this special day, I’ve drawn an artwork of his mask within 10 minutes on that familiar classroom board of mine this past week, paying him a Tribute.

The Making of a Mascot

Well Guys !!

This Time I’ve brought not only something NEW, but also Something BIG for y’all. I alongwith my College NSIT Fine Arts Team, had made an Official Mascot for our College’s Technical Fest : Innovision 2011 few months ago. But this time we’ve decided to make something BIG such that everyone gets to witness how much BIG a MASCOT could be.

Well, Our Senior In-charge of Fine Arts Team, Sraisth Sunny was the guy behind all of this. He just came with a concept of creating a Big Mascot for displaying the visitors at our Fest. He draw a simple rough sketch of mascot giving us an idea and even asked us some changes. Me and my Year-mates, Arjun Paul and Kavyaraj Naik, have been given responsibility on its making.

After having a look on it, first of all we had to think not only the expected size of Mascot but also about the background colour and the type of Sheet to be used. I’ve seen the technique of Merging Small Sheets into a Large Sheet for making Large Backdrops, for our Cultural Fest : Moksha. That experience really helped us out. After predicting the Mascot Size, we merged 3 full-sized A2 Violet Cartridge Sheets, which crossed to a length around 6 Feet (almost my height :P).

Now it was time to begin with the sketch work. Personally speaking I had a hard time on making that DAMN sketch. As I never made such a Big Sketch on Sheet, It tool me approximately 6 Hours in sketching, alongwith Erasing the Errors and Molding them with Perfection. A Great thanks to my Junior, Gyan Ranjan ,who did a Fantastic job in suggesting me and even re-sketching my errors. He’s indeed a Phenomenal Sketcher.

Well, unfortunately y’all might be unable to see the exact sketching of our Mascot clearly. My Bad photography. 😛 Anyways after finalizing the sketch from Sraisth Sir, its time to apply some colour on our Work. We were still on doubt on the Color Combination of The Mascot as most of the Fine Arts Boys Team was good in Sketching but not in Coloring. 😛 Still we managed somehow and completed the Coloring Work in 2 Hours. And after 8 Hours of Complete Hard Work, the Mascot finally has been made. It’s truly looking like Iron Man, but an Indian Avatar. Take a Look. 😉

206806_2021850151520_825778_n

Even the Graffiti Board on which this Work has to be pasted, was covered with the same Violet Cartridge Sheet. The Mascot was Pasted on that 10 Foot Long Board. And Gyan did a fabulous job, in painting The Name of our Fest : Innovision (with slogans below) and The The Name of its Mascot : Innyoto (A Wacky Japanese name:P). An ultimately, We’ve got a Complete Poster.

I really thank to my Grand Fine Arts Team, who made this possible. Also a Great Thanks to those people, who saw this piece of Hard Work of ours and appreciated damn well. 🙂

Never Leave Your Passion Alone in Darkness (Day 6 of Truth)

The following Post is for accomplishing Creative Challenge called 30 Days of Truth, given by Kellie Elmore. It is a unique exercise in self exploration and learning to be honest with yourself… and that ultimately leads to happiness.

30 Days of Truth

*****************************************************************************************

When a very bit of small Hobby you are fond of, which you would definitely like to do most of time whenever you get some time. Exploring your vivid imaginations. It eventually becomes your Passion which you always would do and never like to leave. But unfortunately, being busy and indulging in other important tasks modern life, You can’t give enough time for your Passion and therefore, you lose it somewhere.

Same happened with me. Like I’ve said, I was much passionate towards Arts during my childhood days, doesn’t means that I’m not so right now .. I’m still so but not that much. I was totally inspired with many forms of Artworks which usually our Art Teacher used to give us Bi-weekly. Some used to do it like a Burden as if they are being forced to complete it. Whereas for me, It was yet another Mystery to be solved, yet another Mountain to be climbed,  yet another World to be explored and eventually yet  another Goal to be achieved. Keep that attitude, I didn’t feel that I was doing just to complete my Homework ASAP, Impressing my Art Teacher and getting Good Grades in Drawing. It was becoming a Fun to be enjoyed. That particular subject was becoming a Hobby.

And this is how, I just getting more and more into Drawing. It’s not that I used to focus only in that, I was even good in other subjects as well. Among the Toppers you could say. 😛 Still, I’ve made a BALANCE between Drawing and other Academic Subjects those days. I used to refer TV Art shows Like – Art Attack and M.A.D.for getting more knowledge on other forms of Art. I’ve participated in many Inter-School Competitions, in some of them I’ve won as well. Not just my family and friends, My School Teachers used to appreciate and encouraged me all for that. Among them, My Mom was the one who Encouraged me a lot sparing some of my Bad Habits and Naughtiness. I was so much addicted with it that I even used to draw my Sister’s Drawing Homework a lot. Whether it was any Art or any Book Diagram,I used to do it quietly and in return, she didn’t tells Dad how much I played Video Games or Cricket with friends today. 😛 Though I was not that much pioneered in Arts, but ya I was learning faster and getting more better. 😉

With such improvements and achievements in my Drawing, I’ve realized afterwards, that this Hobby is now growing up into a Passion. I was even day-dreaming that I could do it like a professional Artist. But like I’ve said as soon as you Grow-up, your priorities change. Same happened with me which I still regret. Well after clearing my Metric (10th Std. Board) Exams, I’ve was more passionate towards Science Field especially in Computer Science. Being A Science Non-Medical Student, I devoted my most time into Learning Theoretical and Practical Concepts, Understanding Languages and even after Studying Harder n’ Harder for my Engineering Entrance Exams (IIT-JEE, AIEEE and DCE-CEE). As I was indulging myself more into Academics, My Career Priority of being an Engineer lied above of Being an Artist. With this, I’ve lost all my Excellent Skills in Arts as I hardly practiced for it. It seemed as if the Soul and Passion for becoming an Artist died those days.

Yet another Grief that I’m sharing. Not a Big One, but still painful. But Looking some of my Batch-mates and some Seniors of my College, who are seriously DAMN inspiring and totally Pioneered in Arts. Looking them and then looking me, I’ve learned a Lesson that Neither Leave Your Passion Alone Nor Let it Die inside You, cause in the end It hurts so Bad.

So learning through all these experiences, I’ve started bringing up my Talent back again. Again Leaning , Exploring, and Practicing. I’ve participated and also won in many Art Competitions organised in our and others College Fests. I usually make Drawings with Chalk in our Classroom Board, whenever there’s some Free Period. Plus, I’ve started making some Sketching in my College Notes during Boring Lectures as well. 😛 Moreover, I am also in College Fine Arts Team, who make Banners and Posters for our College Fests. Many of the Artworks that I’ve published so far here in my Blog, they all have been made during my recent College Days.

Well, It was my unfortunate that I left my Talent for a while and paid it costly. But no regrets now at all. I can’t change my Past, but could endure my Present and Future. Still I’m passionate of Art and even placed it in my Career Priority List. I’ve started making a Balance between my college Studies and my Passions. Though I’m lost all my Ole School Drawing Skills, Still I’m learning and exploring more into it as sometimes it feels so Good to learn and grow up like a Kid again. 8)
