From Facebook With Love

Since the popularity and extreme usage of Facebook, It is now focusing more on Security. We are usually obstructed with certain things like Security Code Verification, while posting any links on Group, Page and even Friends’ Wall.  Though it which is obviously a hectic thing to type those shitty alphanumeric codes (again and again if you’re posting multiple times).

Recently Facebook has done some settings related to the topic, which made me SICK. Last Monday,  I was just sending Friend Requests to my College Seniors . But after sending almost 20 Friend Request with 5 minutes, Facebook blocked me for Sending more Friend Request. I thought there must be some problem in my Accounts Setting. I’ve checked my Account Settings, which was all Perfect. Then I went to the Help center, where I get to know that Facebook automatically blocks the Users temporarily from the activities which he/she is doing repeatedly. Plus, You would be relieved from these restrictions for a limited period of time, with a condition that you don’t have to share the links during tha period otherwise the Time Period would be more Longer. Damn Sure, Even most of the time you have to encounter certain problems of getting blocked for repeatedly sharing links or commenting on walls of Friends, Groups and Pages and even on Comment.

WTF is that ?? I don’t have any free time sitting Idle for hours.  It’s totally Irritating.

I just saw on my Friend’s wall yesterday. He posted a picture of his Wall showing that he has been blocked from replying to his own Wall Posts of Birthday Wishes by his Friends. DAMN !!! 😛

Now that’s totally Lame Facebook. Enough is Enough. You really oughta think about on this thing especially . In the terms of Spamming or Cyber Bullying, You’re screwing someone’s B’day with such Present. Rectify your System which unnecessarily punishing Innocents most of the time. :X

Insert Music I-Pod in your Blog

Hello Bloggers !! 8)

I’m back again in the my Technical Yard section. I am about tell y’all something really cool and fascinating Stuff which is an awesome Widget for any Blog. Well this one, not only Blogger, but also other people would like it as well. I’m simply talking about a customized Music I-Pod Playlist, which runs on a GUI Music Player created by Mixpod.com, which simply plays Music of your selected Songs in a Playlist. It’s a very Cool Stuff to add in your Blog as many people like to have such thing in a blog these days. So just try it once for sure.

Not only for Blogs Like- WordPress and Blogspot, Add a Mixpod to any webpage and make people to listen to your Music Playlist. Every time someone visits your blog, He/She will be able to hear the Music of your selected Playlist on your very own Mixpod. Ohh !! That sounds really Cool huh !! 8)

It’s very very simple to add to your Blog.

First of all, visit the Official Mixpod Website, where you’ve to Create an account by Signing up at there. It’s just simple, like you create an account in Facebook. Just fill up the necessary details and then, You’re done !!

After making an account on there, It’s time to Create a New Playlist by clicking the required Tab for that. Here you’ve to first, choose a Skin which you would like to have in your Music Player. There are plenty of options to choose any one of them. Some of them like- Mixpod, MixTape, Old School,Ninja, Jeroen V2 etc. are typically MP3 Players only. Whereas, some other players like – Sidekick, MyPod Touch, Minipod, MyPod Nano etc. are MP3 and Music Video Players as well.

Out of them, My personal favorite is ‘ MyPod Touch ‘, because of its very cool look. 😉 8)

Anyways, after selecting Player Skin, it’s time to Create a Playlist of your favorite songs. Well, this job is very very easy as Mixpod gives you a place to search your favorite song and then add it to your Playlist. You could even change the order of the Songs, by dragging any particular song to the desired position. Otherwise, there is an option to Sort the songs in either Ascending or Descending order. You could even change your Player’s skin as well as Mixpod gives an option to select a Skin, if you are not satisfied with the Previous Skin.

After Creating your Music Playlist of your Music Player, Save the Playlist, by giving a Name(required) and description (optional) to it. Also, select some other options to describe the Genre and Category of your Playlist. You could even give some Tags to it as well. Now, your Playlist is defined as well.

You can now Save it, when you’re all done with the required formalities, and collect the HTML code for your playlist, which you could even Post on your Blog. However, You would be asked to Share/Post this Playlist in Website. Then, Go to Other Sites Tab, Click on ‘More‘ and then, on WordPressbutton. It would ask for your WordPress Username, its Password and Blog’s URL. Fill those spaces and Post it. But, it would automatically make it as a Post in Blog. 😛

For inserting it as a Widget on your WordPress Blog.

Copy the HTML Code from the Blog Post . Then Go to Dashboard -> Appearance -> Widgets. Drag the HTML Text Tab on your sidebar Menu. Paste the HTML Code, add a suitable Heading (your wish) and Save/Activate it.

Finally, you’ve inserted it in your Blog. It plays automatically whenever any visitor comes to your Blog. You and other visitors would get to see the Mixpod Player playing all your favorite songs added in your Playlist, all exclusive in your Blog. Honestly speaking, I have used it long time ago and even used it for a very long time as well. But all those Fun has ended now, as I’m done with it and removed that thing. 😛

But It’s not BAD thing to have it. You could atleast try at once.
!! Just make one and Have Fun !!

Reasons to say, “FACEBOOK Sucks !!”

Since it’s birth we are using Facebook and living with it. We are sharing something about ourselves in form of status, Photos and Videos, chatting and discussing with people, and even making some new friends. But Facebook has its own vulnerable effects which made it as if it is our Life. And eventually, it makes me yell to say that it SUCKS really cause it F*cks the reality.

Sorry Mike Zuckerberg, But that’s the Truth to embrace it. 😛

It would call it a Facebook Fatigue. There are many factors that contribute to the development of this debilitating neurosis. Let’s discuss some of them.

1. Facebook games.

There are bunch of Games Like- Farmville, Mafia Wars, Zynga Poker, FrontierVille, YoVille and now CityVille, developed by Zynga, which are frequently played by millions of Facebook People. Though they are fascinating, these games are a ridiculous waste of time. But I can’t judge people for playing them because I also wasted much time over such Games, just not in the same way. The difference is that I’m not spamming my friends’ newsfeeds with updates on my time-wasting activities. These super-annoying notifications are easily disabled by the perpetrators and therefore entirely unnecessary. To combat this bothersome blight, it is possible to hide the games so as not to receive further updates, which I have done. Nevertheless, new games are continually overrunning my defenses and pillaging my newsfeed. In short, Facebook and Zynga has earned a lot from these Games, which making Facebook people even more addictive.

2. Sharing Of Private Information.

Ok, I really don’t need constant updates about the progression of your diarrhea. Our society has almost completely removed any remaining barriers between public and private lives. Talking about Society, even some of my Past and Current Friends used to BRAG so much about themselves, their so-called Glories and Achievements around here, which hardly anybody give SHIT. Due to this, People are more interested in stalking on Other Private Info n Photos has though FB is having Privacy Settings for every FB account holder. I really wonder if reality television is partly to blame. Certain things should not be broadcast to the entire world. It becomes very harmful, if your Private Info somehow gets leaked and being misused.

3. Public Displays of Affection.

Flaunting relationships on Facebook is an egregious offense. I’m not talking about announcing engagements. That is perfectly acceptable. But “I love you, pumpkin” can be said in a private message. Or in a text message. Or on the phone. Or in a note. Or in an email. Or in real life. What purpose does it serve to write it publicly on Facebook other than to announce to everyone “Look at me! I’m in a relationship!”? But since it’s a Social Hype now, People are used to with it.

4. Obscure References.

I am as guilty of this as anyone. I have written plenty of status updates that only a friend or two could understand. Why? I don’t know. It amused me. But I find I get annoyed when others do it (especially when I don’t get the reference), so I’ve stopped. What is the point? If you want to talk to a few friends, send them a private message, an email, or call them. Simple isn’t it ?? But not for the FB addicted people. 😛

5. Negativity.

I don’t want to read about how awful your life is again and again. Those shitty lame quotes about love and life really bamboozle me now. We all have our burdens to carry. We all have to face hard days in our lives. When going through rough times, there is nothing wrong with getting support from friends and family on Facebook, but it’s not fun to be around a consistently negative person. So It’s a typical waste of time of discussing your own grieves and problems on a Social website.

6. Look at how awesome I am.

Everybody has a self-obsession. It’s good to have that as well. But talking too much about yourself and flaunting your small works like the biggest achievements, would eventually make you as a Snob. Honestly, I used to do so earlier days when I pretended to be something different from others. But now I released that there’s a very thin Line between of being Different and Being a Snob. You can’t be both at the same time because some of us cross the limit.

7. We Are Boring.

We need to be more judicious with our status updates. Why should others be interested in the mundane details of our daily activities? If we climb Mount Kilimanjaro or swim the English Channel, those are update worthy (please post pics and vids). If you really have something cool and interesting thing to express then Share it. But telling about the obvious daily activities Like- buying a new pair of shoes and eating a salad for dinner are not. Once again, I wonder if reality television is to blame. Facebook gives us a platform for our own reality program. We believe we are captivating and that others are fascinated by our every move but, in reality, we are quite boring.

8. Use of Abusive Languages

Facebook has gone so much real that people now have started abusing anybody anywhere. Though we’ve an Option to Block such users talking sh*t every time. But you can’t Block all of them. Since we all are familiar with it. Sometimes we even do it as well. Few Days back, I just visited to Limp Bizkit’s Official Facebook Group, where I saw an idiot with pathetic English skills writing a comment, “I f*cking love this f*cking Band, f*cking 100 times.”. Being and Limp Bizkit (LB), I would easily get to know that this person loves Limp Bizkit a lot. But for a layman, he would get confused, whether the person loves this band, or loves to F*ck !! 😛

Talking sometimes like that it really appears DAMN Tacky and Cheap. This is just a small Crime. It becomes a Terrorism sometimes in Cyber World cause it eventually harms any particular Individual, its Race, its Religion or its Caste.

9. Desperate Horny-Lusty People

Such person really bugs me out. They are really a Shame in Social-Networking due to their very cheap attitude which is highly impermissible. Likewise between Being an Introvert and Being a Snob, there is also a very thin line between Being Flirty and Being Horny, which seriously I don’t think these n00bards would understand at all. Instead of getting their own lives, they would prefer to peek on other’s (especially Girls’) profile.

10. Bundles of Fake Personalities.

That’s a very common point but still have to mention.
You would get to plenty of such people scattered all over this Cyber World. Whatever their main purpose might be, either making fun of the real person, or flaunting their greatness, or even hacking your account. Such n00bards are in huge numbers and promoting Cyber Crime these days. You can’t judge everybody here because you’re really not sure that the person to whom you’re keeping in touch for many times, whether that person is in real or not. He/She might be trying to harm you anyway. This is the major drawback of Social Networking which is inevitable. However, you should be smart and even matured enough to get connected with any person in Facebook.

Honestly, I don’t want to be like and even be with such Pathetic Scoundrels.

These are minor annoyances and easily ignored. In fact, I have only myself to blame for my Facebook fatigue. I remember those days when I used to be spent mostly on Facebook. Well it goes like this: I log on to Facebook daily. I read every single status update of every friend of mine. Liked and even commented some of their Photo and Status updates. Played some Zynga games like- Farmville, for many hours. Though it is kinda hectic and time-consuming task, but I was very addicted to it. Plus, I used to have over 300 FB friends. I couldn’t imagine of deleting my FB account because I would miss all of my friends. Like I said earlier, it’s a neurosis, simply say a habit which made me to do and feel so. Same features probably you also be inheriting in yourself, if you’re also that much Facebook addicted like I used to be.

Facebook is an excellent way to interact with people (your Family, Friends and even some Strangers) and stay in touch with them, but forgive me if I also think it the scourge of society. It seems to me that if we spend less time updating the world about our lives and reading about other people’s lives, we spend more time actually living. We can cultivate friendships face-to-face instead of maintaining superficial, virtual acquaintances. I would rather have a few strong relationships with friends I visit on a regular basis than 500 “friends” on Facebook. I realize this is not an either-or situation. We can have both. But I can’t shake the notion that somehow we might be better off without Facebook. Facebook might be a necessity, but it’s NOT your Life. I am quite thankful for modern technology when it is convenient and comfortable. But I don’t wanna to be completely reliable and dependable to it.

The truth is I have an addiction. I constantly check my notifications over there. I’m always glancing at my phone. I refresh my Facebook account and my Blog with the latest update. Our constant connectedness creates a positive feedback loop with many short-term advantages. Refresh a blog and we are rewarded with an interesting new post. Check our email and we receive vindication in the form of a friendly message. Log on to Facebook and we are instantly aware of our friends’ and family’s activities. This can become problem.

Soon we are investing embarrassing amounts of time and energy feeding the addiction. This valuable time, so easily wasted, could be spent reading a book, playing a board game with friends, making a homemade meal, or enjoying some fresh air. You know, living. It reminded me a quite good saying by very good person, “We must be careful we do not become the tools of our tools.”

However, I am taking control of my connection addiction. Instead of checking my email twenty times per day, I am checking it perhaps two or three times per day. I have already started limiting the blogs, I read to just a few of my favorites. As for Facebook, only one time (whether day or night) for logging on, and for an hour. That’s right, just one time per day. Moreover, reduced my FB friends from 500 to approx. 230. However, I like to blog at WordPress, so I update a Post on certain good topics at my site skipping some days from the Last published Post. Sometimes, I publish posts daily, but It’s OK from me. I usually write the whole content of my Posy during my Free Time. That’s quite something utilizing. 8)

I’ve only just begun these new changes, but I have already got to notice the effects. Before, I would mindlessly log on to Facebook out of habit. I didn’t even think about it. It was part of my routine. Now I find that I can’t be bothered. There are too many other things that I would rather do. As I disconnect from the virtual world, I hover myself more connected to myself and my immediate surroundings.

This is my experience so far. What I genuinely felt, I expressed it all around here in my Blog. What’s your opinion? Feel free to express and share something. Like my previous sayings so far, this Post would hopefully be quite informative and helpful enough for those who are wasting their precious time in Internet rather than enjoying the Natural Environment gifted by God.

Well, it is time for me to really get the HELL out from this Cyber World, Nature is calling me, Baby. 🙂

Free 10 Tips to Promote Your Blog

If you want to grow your blog, then it’s critical that you take time to promote it. Unfortunately, the old theory, “if you build it, they will come,” doesn’t apply to blogs. With over one hundred million blogs being tracked by blog search engines such as Technorati, publishing compelling content isn’t enough to drive awareness and traffic for your blog. Instead, you need to invest in some old-fashioned sweat equity to give your blog a traffic boost. The 10 free blog promotion tips below will help you get started.

1. Comment On Other’s Posts

An easy way to give your blog a promotional boost is by commenting on other blogs. Each time you comment, enter the same name and URL in the corresponding fields in the blog comment form. Doing so will help your search engine optimization efforts over time. When you leave relevant, interesting and useful comments on other blogs (particularly those that are related to your own blog’s topic), people will notice and follow the link back to your blog to learn more about you and read more of what you have to say.

2. Post Frequently

Posting frequently can boost your search engine traffic. Each new post acts as a new entry point for search engines to find your blogs. Writing with search engine optimization in mind can also boost the potential each of your posts has to lead traffic to your blog.

3. Participate in Online Forums

Join forums related to your blog topic and become an active, contributing member. Include a link to your blog in your forum signature, so it’s always available to other members.

4. Use Social Media

Leverage the promotional opportunities that the social web provides. Join social networking sites like Facebook and LinkedIn and include links to your blogs and recent posts in your profiles. Join social bookmarking sites like DiggStumbleUpon and Deliciousand submit great content (not just your own). Additionally, consider jumping on the microblogging bandwagon and join Twitter. All of these efforts will increase awareness of your blog and give it added exposure.

5. Link to Other Blogs in Your Own Posts

Try to include links to other blogs in your own blog posts. Refer to other blogs you enjoy reading or specific posts you found particularly interesting. When those other blogs have the trackback feature turned on in their blogging software programs, you’ll automatically get a link back to your own blog in the comment section of those posts. At the very least, the other blogger will see the incoming links from your blog in their blog statistic reports, putting you and your blog on his or her radar, and that means more exposure for you.

6. Include Your Blog Link

Basically, include your blog URL everywhere you can. Your email signature and business cards are two of the most obvious places to promote your blog with a link or printed URL, but don’t be afraid to think out of the box. Promotion is key to success when it comes to blogging. Don’t be shy about tooting your own horn!

7. Hold a Blog Contest

Blog contests are a great way to attract new visitors to your blog. The most important thing to remember when using a blog contest as a promotional tool is to get the word out about the contest by announcing it on contest websites.

8. Join a Blog Carnival

Blog carnivals are an easy way to get links to your blog in front of a lot of people. The more closely related to your blog topic that the carnival is, the more traffic you’ll get from it.

9. Guest Blog

Offer your services as a guest blogger for other blogs in your niche, particularly ones that get more traffic than yours does. Guest blogging is a great way to get links to your blog and your own thoughts and writing in front of people who are likely to be interested in learning more about you and your blog.

10. Write Multiple Sites and Link Them Together

The more blogs or websites that you write, the more interlinking is possible. That interlinking can be used to promote your blog through different channels that might attract different audiences. Create an integrated blog marketing plan by aligning your promotion efforts across your various blogs and websites to reap the biggest rewards.
