The Power of Modern Youth

Usually I don’t write down personal incidents on my blog but series of confrontations with a few questioning minds made me to express my views through an incident that happened with me two days back. On friday morning, me and my classmates were eagerly waiting for our advertising class which is taken by a very experienced and charismatic person. For his introduction, I would just like to mention that he headed Public Relation Society of India (Delhi Chapter) and this is just a feather in his cap.
He started off the class with enormous energy as he usually does discussing the ‘publics in public relation’.While explaining further he cited the example of ‘Anna Hazare Movement’ and his first statement was-“This movement is going to die off, nothing will happen.” One or two of my friends, (who volunteered with me at Jantar Mantar while Anna was on fast) tried to convince him that revolution starts from somewhere but their mincing words failed to do so. He put his point more strongly by making one of the volunteers to stand and asked, “What have you done for the movement since you have come back from Jantar Mantar? Did you write a single letter to editor or even a blogpost? ” The expected answer came from the boy-No!
The sir went on- “You people just create euphoria, if you want to do something start from your own home.It was just a 5 days fest and now everything is gone.” I was listening to all this and ultimately can not resist myself from raising my hand while saying, “sir, I want to say something.” He allowed me to speak and I started, ” Sir, I am connected to this movement from past six months when it started in November last year. Since then, I have written ten letters to editor those have been published in Hindustan Times. I have made the people aware of ‘JanLokpal Bill’ through a special facebook account and Google buzz.I attended the India Against Corruption rally on 30th of January at Ram Lila Maidan.I have been writing blogposts twice a month adressing such issues and I don’t think I have done anything special because I am not the only one. ” Suddenly, he stopped me and smilingly uttered, “In the language of advertising, your product has been sold. Lady you will not let this movement die and I am complimenting you.” Normally, he never gets convinced so early still I preferred to halt myself.
After few minutes, again he touched the wrong strings. ” A simple bill can not curb corruption.Nothing will happen because corruption is so deeply rooted in this country. One or two people can’t bring the change”.You can call it my stubbornness, but I raised my hand again. This time he said, “lady you can put your point but I won’t say a word.” Still I asked him, “Will you agree sir, inspiration can be positive or negative?, He moved his head in affirmation and I continued, “When last time I went for IAC, only one person followed me, but this time at Jantar Mantar, four of my classmates came along with me.Something positive inspired me to volunteer there on my birthday rather than partying with friends. But the way you are treating this issue, next time I won’t find a single person from this class to accompany me because of negative insipration. My only question is why to be so cynical?”. He didn’t say much but just smiled and said, “I am not spreading negativity, I am just motivating you people.”
Though I expressed my viewpoint but frankly speaking, I was a bit scared because I knew that my teacher is going to complain about me to my Director and I will face a tough time.In that 3 hour class, we get a break of 10 mins after one and half hour is over.In the break, he called me up and asked my name.He also asked me about my career plans and gave me some nice suggestions regarding the same.He offered me his help in case I need it in future. If I am not wrong, he was convinced!
The only point to explain the whole incident is to make the people realize that Youth can be directionless, lacks inspiration, contentious and sometimes rude but is not irresponsible. Once it gets a direction, a goal, a particular way, youth is the best asset any country can have to curb any social menace. So, please don’t distrust them rather than provide them a direction, a platform where they can voice their aspirations. I know a 18year old, modern young boy teaching small kids at a village on his birthday and filing more than 120 RTI petitions. I have seen a 19year old actively working with a NGO for the betterment of environment. And this list is endless. How can I be cynical? Let us fail, let us struggle.Even if we return with nothing we have the courage to start again. Remember, with experience you never start with ‘0’, you always start with ‘1’.If you can’t do anything for us, atleast don’t be cynical. As I always say, If you can’t talk positive, atleast be neutral rather than spreading negativity. You never know, who gets inspired from you.

“Mudra” – Sketching and Crayon-Coloring
Hello Guys !!
Well, you’ve seen the Posters on my earlier art posts, which I’ve made for my College Fest Event (organised by me and my friends), called ” The Music Quiz”. at ” Moksha 2011 : Elixir Of Euphoria “8)
Well on that event, we’ve got a huge attendance of over 75 Teams, which means we have about 150-200 students participating for our very interesting event. They not only got fascinated by our Posters. Obviously, It probably was the ideas and concepts of our Event which must have to lure the people and making them to attend our Event. The participation numbers might be less relatively lesser than other Events. But for me and my Team, it was a Huge success and we’ve got that we’ve unexpected.
Anyways, coming back to the point. It’s time to display my artwork.
Not only for my event, I’ve made certain posters of other events organised by dear friends. They rang me up and asked me to make a poster related to Indian Dance Forms as they were organizing a Mega Event of our Fest called ” Mudra : The Choreography Competition “, which is basically a Indian Dance Competition.
Getting started with it, I’ve browsed through the Internet getting an idea of making particular Indian Dance Forms, which would be quite relevant for the event. So after searching for almost an hour, with some selection-rejection process, I’ve finally came with a picture that suits with the theme. And so, I’ve just started making it. Initially, I drew all those forms with Pencil and then colored the base with orange color. After done with the paint job, I’ve just used Black Markers and Sketch Pens for highlighting the shadow images of dancers.
And ultimately, you get your Job done like this. 😀
The main backdrop is done, only finishing is left. Well, this time I’ve applied some light strokes Crayons for making a background having a sun and full of clouds, making the backdrop color even visible. With some finishing and making the Event and Moksha Logo, we finally came with this.
Well, they’ve tanked me for helping them in making this. As a matter of fact, they’ve even got a nice attendance of participants as well as audience as well.

“The Music Girl” – Sketching and Crayon-Coloring
Sorry Guys, for the delay !!
Actually, I was quite busy in preparation for my Exams and even in Fine Arts Work for my College Fest ” MOKSHA: The Annual Cultural Festival of NSIT “, which is going to be held in few days. I’ll tell y’all about that more, but Later some day. 😛
Well, In the Meantime, I’ve even made a Poster for my College Fest Event (organised by me and my friends), which I now would like to display here.
The Event which we are probably going to organize in our College Fest is ” The Music Quiz”. 8)
Well obviously, I have to make a Poster related to Music stuff for our Event which must have to lure the people and attend our Event.
So Getting started with it, I’ve made a Pencil Sketching of a Girl with a Headphone on her head, depicting as she is Listening Music. After Sketching (with some rubbing and re-drawing), It’s time to apply some color. But this this time, I’ve used Wax Crayons for base with some Oil Pastel Colors for highlighting.
And ultimately, you get your Job done like this. 😀
Yaa !!! You’ve got it. It is almost looking like the same picture as it was in my Previous Gravatar Image. Well Actually, I made its sketch though it’s looking bit different from that I’ve made. 😛
Anyways, getting back to work. Since this is for our College Fest Event, I have to even mention the Event Name as well. For that, I’ve made a Graffiti, suiting the Sketch and even with the Theme.
After merging above two stuffs, it ultimately becomes an One Complete Crayon Poster Art.
Hopefully, People would come for our Event after looking on this Poster and getting fascinated towards it,ultimately getting a huge attendance for our Event. 😛

Fun with Chalks and Board
Heyy guys !! 8)
Well, This time I’ve just brought a something new called ”Chalkboard Art”. It is simply done with Chalk and Board, which reminds us a Classroom in Schools/Colleges where You’ll get them both.
This reminds some of mine Childhood Memories, yet once again. I used to make such kinda Stuff, when I was a Kid. I usually make it on my School Blackboards, whenever I find some pieces of Chalk on the Board. My schoolmates really appreciated me whenever I used to draw some art on it. But then I immediately rub them with Duster as well, because I even don’t wanna get scolded and punished from my Teachers as well . 😛
Recently in my College Classroom, I’ve simply made the Sketching of the Official Logo of ” The New Nexus Group “, which is a Villainous Heel Stable in WWE Raw.
Take a look on it fellows, step by step.
Firstly, I’ve made a Hand and a Thunder Ribbon to make it like The Nexus Logo.
Then, I’ve made a Graffiti saying, ” We Are One “, the Tag-line of the Nexus. And finally, I’ve finished it with their main catchphrase, ” You’re either Nexus, or You’re against us “.
It’s not exactly to the Official Logo of The Nexus. But it’s almost like that. 😉
I usually take some more time in Finishing the Art, in order to achieve Perfection in Sketching. But I’ve made this Sketching within 10 minutes and even before the time our Lecturer enters in the class. And, I was about to see his reaction while watching this. A Question popped out from my mind, ”After noticing, Whether he would praise or scold me for that. Or even, he might rub it without watching it.” Whatever the conclusion might be, I was still waiting for him, Just for my FUN only !! 😛 😀
Well unfortunately, The Lecturer didn’t showed up as he was absent on that day. So, Neither I’ve got appreciation Nor my ass got Whipped. But the good thing is, My College Batch-mates noticed it DAMN easily, as they probably know who’s the mischievous artist behind that could do such kinda Crazy Things in Class. I saw them after noticing on my Work, they all were discussing and appreciating in themselves. But I didn’t joined that Nexus, to claim my Art and take the whole Credit, because I do it for Passion, not for Show-Off.
So then, I went out from the scene without telling. Later, some of them really came to me and appreciated me on face, while some remain still silent. Anyways, It’s just the Beginning of my Work on Chalk Art. Still, I’ve set many Goals in such Art, to enhance further on its skills in future.
Hopefully, I would bring something NEW for y’all soon.
